To add a family member to your account, invite them.
A partner, grandparent or caregiver you invite can log potty visits and follow your child's progress on their own phone.
In Potty Whiz, the people who share your children are called your team.
Before you start
Open the invite screen
You can start an invite from two places:
- From your child: open your child, tap the three dots at the top right, then tap Invite family.
- From your account: tap the gear icon at the top right of the dashboard, tap My Account, tap My Team, then tap Add Member.
Both open the Add Member screen.
Send the invite
Choose one way:
- Via QR Code: if the other person is with you, ask them to open Potty Whiz, tap Got An Invite? and scan the QR code on your screen.
- Via SMS, Email or WhatsApp: tap Share and send the message to them.
The message has a link and an invite code.
What the other person does
They tap the link on their phone, or open Potty Whiz, tap Got An Invite? and scan or enter the code.

Good to know
- Each invite works for 14 days.
After that, send a new one.
- Anyone who has the link or code can join your team until it expires, so only send it to people you trust.
- Once they join, they see all your children on their dashboard.
They can log, edit and delete entries, use Team Chat, and get a notification when someone else logs an activity.
- Only you can edit or delete your children, and choose which children each person can see.

If your Premium ends
If your subscription ends while people are on your team, My Team shows this message:
"You are currently on a free plan. Inviting other members is a premium feature and will soon be disabled for your account. Tap here to upgrade and continue using this feature."
Tap the message to upgrade.
Your team members stay on your team, but they lose the Premium features your subscription gave them, unless they have their own.
Troubleshooting
- "Couldn't create an invitation. Check your connection and try again."
Invites are made online.
Check your internet connection, then tap Retry.
- Tapping Add Member or Invite family opens the upgrade screen.
Inviting family needs Premium on your own account.

- I don't see Invite family.
It only appears on children you added yourself.
A child shared with you from someone else's team can only be shared by that team's owner.
- The link doesn't open the app.
Ask the other person to open Potty Whiz, tap Got An Invite? and type the code from your message.
